Does anyone have one of these?

They would only be good for cooling in low humidity areas, great for Arizona, run on 12 volts, and a 14x14" mounting. What is the kitchen exhaust fan opening? I would think we could get them cheaper than the listed price..

Used to see them in Colorado on farm tractors before AC. Just a small swamp cooler. You need to keep some windows open when using one.

And a water supply to it or it won't work.

It's the same size as my fantastic fan, but running water up there doesn't sound like an easy chore. I'm also not buying the cleans dirt out of the air thing. My guess is it does but then where does it go. In the filter and the water would be my guess. The filter may not grow stuff, but the dirt and pollen will and I don't see myself up there cleaning it out on a regular basis. I'll wait until someone else has had one for several years and see how they feel then.

I had a simular one on a old moterhome that my wifes dad had, I didnt like it that much. its only good in dry climents other wise you'll get all sticky with a high humidity inside the rv. I like air better.
the other problem is the intake pad its at a angle, if it rains that water goes into the water resavore, nine would over flow and end up on the floor but that was a early version like around 1976. they have probably inproved them and have a over flow tube to throw it out on the roof of the rv.

I wrote and asked for a dealership, so we will see what happens. I think IF... all the above issues have been resolved, and about the water to the roof, I think I have that one figured out. We will see.
It would be great in the Desert, especially if a person was 'off grid' as the power is just 12 volts.

I visited some shops with the evap coolers, they were comfortable, but I can see where the dampness might cause a problem.

The instructions seem pretty straight forward, but routing the waterline could be a problem even if you go up a vent pipe...

Evaporative Coolers/Swamp Coolers are common here in Colorado where I live. I have one running right now. It usually keeps the house about 22 to 25 degrees cooler than the outside temps. We have about 1750SF of living space.
I am told they are for those areas of the country where there is low humidity. We do not have any problem with to much humidity due to running the unit. But we live in a low humidity area.
I don't know about one on an RV. It might work out West where it is dry.

I had one on a hard side 20ft trailer 15 yrs ago. We used it in Colorado. It didn't do much. It was a pain in the neck and messy. Spend your money on a small 110 ac unit that stands inside and vents to the outside. My .02 worth. Here is an link to them. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1...&storeId=10051
