Amazing how Vacation plans change

We started out wanting to go to Jekyll Island, and even though we received comforting and valuable MOC assistance, opted to go elsewhere primarily due to the shopping criteria of the women-folk. Again, relying on the vast information pool that is the MOC, we then decided to focus on the Charleston, SC area and again the MOC came through and we readily agreed that St James Island County Park would be a great place to spend the week. The only problem was that for the week of Thanksgiving, there were no sites available, drat!! Back to the drawing board (well actually Woodalls.com) to do research and found a nice campground (Mount Pleasant/Charleston KOA) on the other side of town. Nice spot reserved overlooking a 30 acre lake. Although the price was more than we are used to, the savings in fuel by cutting our trip in half will more than offset the higher camping price. The women will be happy since the campground is 10 minutes from shopping and next door to a miniature golf and go-kart facility that is open year round. Thus completes the reservation process for the major trips for this year. Only have to fill in a few local weekend trips and we will be set for the camping season to begin! C'mon Spring!!

You scared me with your heading, thought you was canceling out on the trip in June. Are you certain spring hasn't already begun? Our outdoor thermometer shows 64° here right now.

We have been there and it is a much better CG than the one out on I26. A nice place to stay. Please take the girls for a visit to The Citadel. Try to make it on a Fri. afternoon, as they have a dress parade. Quite a rousing spectacle and 2000 cadets for the girls to admire. We have 2 sons graduated from there. Larry PS When you visit the Market, be sure to try the Benny Wafers and Pralines, delicious.
