Trailer Rims

I was just checking out my rims on my 3400RL before buying new G614 tires. They are stamped 3750 Max load, T08, and stamped "made in China". Can't see a stamp for 80 psi or 110 psi. Are rims made in china as bad a deal as tires made in China?

3750 Pound rims are rated for 110 psi (per Tredit). I personally have had no problems with the Tredit supplied rims on the last two rigs. Those who have had problems (stress cracks, etc.) have had the rims replaced under warranty by Tredit. A rim failure is usually not catastrophic as a tire failure is. Another reason for the addition of a tire pressure monitoring system. You can research and request information on the rims, warranty, etc. on Tredit.com

They are 110#, you are good to go. As for the China.. we all have them, and I haven't read any problems on your series of rims.
You should be OK.
Good luck.

I saved all the "BULL----" and spent a lot of money and put on hub pilot brake drums with 5/8" studs, Alcoa 17.5 wheels, Goodyear G114 17.5 trailer tires. For the money I have in my trailer I don't want any tire problems. Tires are the week link. Montana and all other trailer manufactures need to put some real tires under these trailers rather than going with just the minimum.

I'm convinced that the Mission tires originally on my 2006 3400RL were made by an old Grandmother in China who went from school to school and collected the used pencil erasers. She then ground them up, added some Elmers Glue, some black dye and made the Mission tires. NOT MICHELIN, but Mission. In a little over 20,000 miles three of the four tires failed. Amen on the desireability of a tire pressure monitor no matter whose tires you have.
