Two weeks is soooooo loooongggg!!!
It seems awkward to be thinking about finally getting to spend a week in the Monty, but Thanksgiving will be our first full week out. It is all my fault though, the dock construction project in combination with the economy .. that cut into our vacation plans for this year but we are heading to Topsail Hill Preserve in the Florida panhandle in 14 days. Yayyyyy!!! Still haven't decided about our mini-MOC get-together in Pensacola if anyone still has restaurant recommendations!!

You are way overdue and it's good to hear you are finally getting out there. I hope you get plenty of visitors at the impromptu restaurant gathering. I see in your sig you have pet names, but can you remind me the name of your resident bear? I wonder what it's going to do while you are away?

Hey Art,
Actually we are up to about three different bears, but I think they have decided to take a nap for the winter, not sure but we haven't seen them for a while. Did see about five deer in the office yard the other evening when leaving work though. Maybe we will have a contest in the spring to give the bears deserving names??

Wow, 3 bears now. And have another contest to see who sticks the name tags on their chests. Have fun in Florida!

Ron,
I couldn't figure out how to weave Goldilocks into the tapestry of the thread, or I would have tried. . I agree completely with the forum being a source of introductions that lead to meetings at a later time. If and when you all are on the eastern side of the coutnry, I am sure we will meet up (and look forward to it!!). DW and I have discussed some Westward Ho! types of adventures but unfortunately my work schedule interferes with my pleasure schedule.....imagine that!!

Bingo as for as I know dinner is still on we sent a e-mail about the Olive Garden in Pensacola. Did talk to John and he said the Olive Garden sounded great form them. I don't remember the date but let us know. We will be there, I think Dave and Chris (Can Do) might join us, they will be in Anchors Aweigh in Foley the 12th of Nov. They were with us last year. We left Foley today becauese of the Hurricane but will return on Wed if not before. GBY.......

Cathy said Olive Garden sounded good. We are good for either Monday or Tuesday, whichever fits for all. Do we need to get reservations or are you going to try to get that via e-mail. Sorry to hear about the Hurricane, praying it turns out to be a non-event.
