Good Sam Comes Thru

I recently posted (somewhere) that I had to call Good Sam ERS on the NY thruway, they were not authorized to come on the thruway to change my tire and I had to use the NY authorized repair guy, Cost $151.20, Well I submitted a claim to Good Sam and today received a check for $151.20. Call me a HAPPY CAMPER!!!!

That is good news. I hope I never have to use them, but I'm ready if I do.

Thanks.

I wonder if Good Sam has some other vender who could have been used? It seems reasonable to me that Good Sam would be aware of this requirement? Just my opinion- Don

Don, I'm told that only repair shops approved by NY State Truway system are authorized to perform repairs on their thruway. Anyway, I'm still a Happy Camper!!!!

I’m glad that everything worked out well for you!
I recently had to use them and this was my fourth time in about 4 years. I will spare you the story but I was off the road a good bit, at least 50 yards. I told them about 50 maybe even 75 yards. They told me their limit was 50 yards. I said I couldn’t be sure but that was my guess. They checked with their supervisor and it was approved.

I’ve read stories where people’s GSERS has been canceled on them but I’ve only had good success with them when needed. However, I wonder what their limit is with people?

We've had to use them twice in the last 15 years and were very happy with the service. Glad they came through for you.

We've had to use them a couple of times and they have always come through. Once we were mired in mud and I have to tell you that the truck operator sure knew how to use a winch.
