replacement tires for Monty

Its time to replace my tires in my 03 Big Sky, The tires that came from the factory are the General Grabber AW. I went to my local Discount tire store and they have a general Grabber TR or they reccomended the BF Goodridge Commercial TA which they say is a better tire and will make the trailer ride smoother. They say thats the tire they put on commercial trucks. Does anyone have any input on replacement tires and these Commercial TA's ???

Thanks
Bobby A

I like the Bridgestone Duravis tires.

I replaced the Generals on my 2003 with Goodyear G614, a G-rated tire. They are not cheap, but they are not made in China either.

I put E rated BFG Commercial T/As on mine last year and have been very happy with them. They've already lasted longer than the Missions, but that's no surprise. I have BFG's on all three trucks, the boat trailer and the RV.

Thanks Craig A for your vote of confidence on the commercial TA's, thats the tire I'm leaning towards, especially if its the tire of choice for truck drivers. I welcome any other input in regards to new tires.

I blew 2 tires a couple of years ago in Arco Idaho and had a new set installed. The dealer (only dealer for 50 miles) only had Cooper tires so I told him to put 4 on for me. He pulled 4 tires he had just received from the warehouse (so he said) and the date on the tires indicated they were already 5 years old. He also had 4 Renegade Tires (new date) and made by Cooper so I had them installed.
The point is check the year the tires were made as that to me is the most important thing more than who made them as long as they were made here in the US.
