New To The Club

Hi Folks,

Brand new here. Just purchased a new 2008 Montana 3400RL, so I figured this was the place to be! We take delivery on 1/29.

We started RVing less than a year ago when I bought a small Jayco travel trailer to pull with my 4Runner. Well, it turned out that the family loves RVing more than I could have ever imagined. So, last September I bought a 5th wheel worthy truck and we started looking at the various units we had to choose from. Last weekend we zeroed in on the Montanas and found the one of our dreams today.

The family consists of myself, my beautiful wife Sherry, our 2 girls, Angelica (15) and Jocelyn (10), and 2 little Yorkie dogs. I have been a member over at RV.net for almost a year and have hooked in with a great local group of RVers which we go to rallys with and do other smaller local trips with.

We are located in Northern California, just south of the SF Bay Area in a town called Gilroy (famous for garlic and outlet malls).

Here are a few quick pics I snapped after we shook on the deal (just before my camera battery died!):

http://www.hollman.net/fiver

(Ok, couldn't figure out how to post pics or links to pics, so you will need to go to that URL to see the list of pics old school style.)

Anyway, looking forward to discussing Montana specific issues, and RV topics in general. Hope to be able to learn a lot, and contribute where I can.

See you on the boards!

Welcome aboard and thanks for the pics Adam! Nice choice in rigs

Seems I spent years trying to get from a tent to a camper, and now they put the campers in a tent - go figure

Welcome, Adam. Keep us up to date on the delivery, make sure they give you a good instructional tour, I think they call it a PDI; pre delivery instruction, or something close to that. Some of us got good ones, some not so good. I know you and your family are excited, we know how it is.
Good luck!

Welcome Adam to you and your family. You have made three gret choices. Bought a Montana, picked the 3400, and joined the MOC! LOL
We know your town well. Lived at Morgan Hill for several years when I was working in San Jose. We hope to meet you at a rally someday.
Happy trails.............................

Welcome aboard and congratulations! Delivery day is almost here. I've learned an awful lot from the folks here at MOC and hope you find it as helpful and enjoyable as well.

We've enjoyed your fair city a couple of times when we stayed at Betabel RV Resort near San Juan Bautista.

Delivery day can't come soon enough! Unfortunately, I am being sent on a business trip this week to Austin TX. As a result, I had to push the delivery until Saturday. We are bummed, but Saturday will come before we know it!
