Greetings from a newbie. Picking up our first fiver this weekend, 2005 Mountaineer 297RKS. We will post pics soon and we can't wait to get on the road. Since this is our first I'm sure I will have tons of questions for you all.

Welcome to the forum that will become your main answer provider for any problems with your rig that you encounter. Someone here has been there, done that for you, and will be willing to provide advice and solutions. This is a great forum with fantastic people. Don't be afraid to post either questions or experiences (both good and bad). If your signature is an abbreviation for Steelers, then I must extend a double welcome!!

A fellow Mountaineer owner here. We have the 329RLT and love it. Haven't had the first problem with it. It's a 2006.
Happy trails.

Jeff, good luck with your new 5ver. I see you are a C130 mechanic so you should be very adept at keeping your own 5ver in good shape. When I left Vietnam many minutes ago as a Navy radioman, I actually worked on 130's for Fairchild Hiller replacing radios in them. No mechanical stuff though. You indicate Sylva NC as your home and we reside there as well in summer period. Thanks for your service. Dennis

Hi Jeff and Shelby.
Welcome to the MOC. Nice to have you join us.

We too are first time 5er owners. We have a 2007 Mountaineer 336RLT. Got it in July/07 and only got to use it 3 weeks in August, but we have lots of plans for this year.

We wish you many safe and memorable travels with your Mountaineer.

Sherri
