Was sitting in S&B think about the trip coming up Friday. Was watching a truck show, or using it for back ground noise, and the anti mouse discussion came up. Think I'll give it a shot. But wanted to pass it on.

We've been using Fresh Cab for the past 8+ years and if you go back into some of the past posts concerning pest control you will see that it is made of an all herb blend and is a deterrent and not a killer. Nothing worse than having a dead mouse in the fiver and not being able to find it. Farmers and large construction equipment owners use Fresh Cab to keep mice from building nests and chewing on the insulation of the wires in their equipment while it is idle. It is not harmful to humans or pets and the mice get a whiff of the herbal blend and head for the hills.

A few years ago someone suggested putting bars of Irish Spring throughout our unit and sure enough it has kept those pesky rodents away and keeps our unit smelling great. We also put them in our convertible that we put up for the winter with great success also.

Been using Bounce dryer sheets stuffed in all the holes and crevices for 25 years and never had a rodent. And our FW is stored in a metal building on a farm where mice love to be. Pretty cheap insurance for us.

A few months ago I watched a series of YouTube videos where a guy had done tests on various mouse deterents. I had been using dryer sheets galore. He set up a camera looking at a glass top box with food inside and placed various scent covered items to see what worked. His test showed that dryer sheets did not deter the mice. What did deter the mice was mint oil. Maybe the Mouse-out listed in the first post is on to something! All I can say is that I saw the mint oil video on the internet so I know it is true!

I put one of the noise makers on top or my silverware. The mice must not have liked it, guess what they did on my silverware. I’m sure you guessed it. Never told my wife. She probably wouldn’t have used the silverware again.

Now you have the cleanest mice around! Actually we did the same and the previous owner used Bounce dryer sheet. I can hardly tolerate the smell of those things. Both seem to work.

This stuff really works!! Used to sell it a long time ago (14yrs). I live in Nebraska and farmers used to buy it by the case. They sprayed it all over their engine, under the dash and over the tires. Anywhere a mouse could get, they never worried about the mice eating the wires on their trucks. Really really works

We tried that & the rodents ate the Irish Spring. All that was left were fragments with teeth marks. .
It didn't last long.

Get under your unit with some steel wool, the kind you use for stripping paint off wood or smoothing wood and stuff it in any hole or opening a mouse might fit through. Then use some gorilla tape, or heavy rubber tape, and seal it up. Mice will not chew through it. They hate steel wool. You will also get a good look at the underside of your unit that you might not otherwise have a reason to look at. Focus on area’s where they can climb up to the bottom of your unit like tires, and jacks. The mice that are already in your unit need to be dealt with and removed.
