Black water controls

We have a 3811 5th wheel--here's my question--why does my control panel have two separate black water lights /buttons and there is only one black water pull outside---when I push the buttons one says it's full and the other says empty??Thanks everyone!!

I assume the 'dead' one is because some units have 2 black tanks. It is probably cheaper to just use the same control panel on all units than to have to maintain inventory of 2 kinds of panels.

Or the Great Keystone Techs put in the wrong panel.

I think all the pannels nowdays have two black tank lights. It's cheaper for Keystone to just buy one and install it in every rig regardless of whether they have two tanks or one.

Mine has 2 black tank lights also. I just ignore the one. Actually, my tank sensors work very well, but I also work hard to keep those tanks clean. (but that's another story).

Make sure your tank is empty. Then add about 5 gallons of water and go for a drive. The more turns and the more stop & go's you make, the better. Sloshing water in the black tank will clean off the sensors. Then both will read empty! It's just that easy to keep those sensors working.
