Mountaineer 315RLS TT Slide Alignment

The slide on our 2005 Mountaineer 315RLS TT seems to be getting further out of alignment each time it is cycled out and in. The symptoms are: the top flange of the slide contacts the side of the trailer first and by the time the slide outside flange is flush with the trailer in the retracted position the bottom inside edge of the slide is above the floor of the trailer. This inside edge was nearly flush with the floor when retracted at delivery but has progressed to being 3 to 4 inches above the floor. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Getting ready to purchase the same unit. Did you ever find the solution? Anything else I should look for?

Ed & Mary, We have an 04 315 and have been very pleased with it so far. We've taken it about 8K miles and probably spent about 25 days in it this past summer with no problems. Would recommend you get a decent tow package like Reese's Dual Cam anti sway http://www.reese-hitches.com/sway_co...htm#Dual%20Cam and a good brake contoler unit to go with it.

Brian and Lois, your 2005 model should still be in warranty. Your dealer should be able to correct the alignment. If I recall, our manual says something about this being covered for the first 90 days. Some dealers may adhere to that so you might want to contact the dealer soon and make sure it's covered.

Brian, Lois and Sweeper,
We have the same unit. We bought it new in 03. I agree with Steve, if possible have the dealer adjust. We had the dealer adjust our slide at time of pick up and have not had a problem. We have really enjoyed our unit. It's been a great unit. I think you'll really enjoy. I would purchase the same unit over again. Good luck and let us know how it goes for you.

Sounds like it is time for a trip to the dealer. Let us know what the fix is and if it takes care of the problem.
