Journey west
We are almost 4 weeks into a journey west from South Carolina across interstate 40 to Flagstaff, then Moab, Carbondale, Colorado Springs and now Grand Junction, took Colorado highway 50 here, it's a beautiful drive, a little longer than interstate 70 but much smoother and less stressful. We will be going to Salt Lake city next then to west Yellowstone and glacier before turning east for a trip home. We have met plenty of great campers doing trips around. Fuel is high but still averaging around 5 bucks a gallon. This is a great country to travel through., good people camping everywhere.

You do meet some great people. Glad you're enjoying the trip. Diesel dropped below $5 yesterday in Kansas City, $4.90. (Probably not a trend but more of a burp) Enjoy the rest of the trip, you're going to some beautiful country. Safe travels.

That is a wonderful trip. Take your time and enjoy. The thing you will remember about Yellowstone is the sulfur. You will see pictures of the Tetons every where. The Going to the Sun Road is awesome. While you are in Colorado make time to see RMNP. It’s few miles north of Denver. It will take your breath away, at over 12,000 feet high. While you are at YNP see the Coty museum. It is a must see.

You can easily spend a day alone in the Cody museum in Cody, Wy. I've been there 3 times and still haven't seen it all.

The first time I was in Wyoming two friends one in Laramie and the other in Dubois saw I had to see the Coty museum. So what the heck I’d spend 15 minutes in this little museum. I spent two days in it. It’s actually five museums. All worth spending a full day in.

Museum was named after William (Buffalo Bill) Cody, as is the town the museum resides in.
