How to know you've gone South enough!
We'd just arrived in Haines City and were sitting around in 75 deg. temperature, talking to Hook after he helped me back in, and then my Weather Alert App sets off an alarm for a winter weather warning for back home in Raleigh.
And now I've had a opportunity to test the A/C

How to know you've gone South enough! What I did was put the snow blower in the back of the pickup and started heading south. When I would have to stop and fill up with gas and someone would ask what that was in the back of the truck, I knew I was far enough South!! ;- )

Yup, nothing like having to replace the AC filters to remind you you're in the right place.

When you go outside in the morning and it is 70 degrees and most of the local folks are wearing sweatshirts, then you are probably far enough south.

Shouldn't baseballs be getting into the air around the Phoenix area soon?

Welcome to Florida. We live in SW Florida full time, and one day we will be travelers. Enjoy your stay to Haines City. Check out some of the state parks while you are here.

We've determined an easy way to tell the northerners from the native Floridians. When the temp hits 55 degrees the northerners are running around in shorts and tee shirts. When the temp drops to 70 degrees, the Floridians are the ones bundled up in their parkas.
