Length of an '09 3400RL?
The 3400RL is shown to be different lengths from '04-10 according to the Keystone figures. I can understand the weights differing but the lengths of the same floorplan baffle me, and in my '09 the bedside closet is part of the bedroom slide.
'04 and '05 37ft 1in
'06 37ft 3in
'07-'09 38ft 4in
10 37ft 4in

This difference is typical. And my rig, a 2006 3500RL with a 2005 floorplan showed several inch differences for the SAME year, depending on what document I picked up, so from year to year, why not. I just say I'm 37' 6" and cover all the possibilities. More times than not being over is not a problem, but being under can be a problem.
Things impacting these differences: Ladder, measuring to the nose of the rig, measuring to the pin, measuring to the front of the pin bracket, mood of the employee making the measurement or just relying on blue prints per year, and the variances go on and on.
Like you mentioned, weights are even worse!
Good job on going for the bigger truck!

Montana does not use "jigs" in the mfr of their units at the plant. Thus a difference in dimensions - even in the same day of putting these things together. May be some other reasons also, but I believe this was one reason just discussed in another thread. Our 2007 3400 was MEASURED by ME at 39' 6" from nose to ladder - I measured 3xs. I believe it was listed in the brochure at around 38'.
The only sure way is to use your own tape measure. Don't go by the listed lengths - or even a similar model that came off the floor around the same time. It will be different...

Our '05 is also 39'6". We usually say 40' to be safe.
Happy trails......................

My '09 brochure says 38'4". I measured it at 37'10" from back cap to front cap, and 38'6" from ladder to front cap. Also 13'3" high like Rich's (top of front A/C)
