My red one on street side went bad two years ago. and also caused the shutdown of the gas lines due to the leak. Replaced all and have been good ever since.

Larry-- I think JPKELPE had this problem with the regulator leaking. Hopefully they will be along and confirm this. I think they ended up replacing theirs!

We had to replace ours after six years of use. I can understand it going bad on a 2008 camper because it's just a manufactured part and they do fail. I think the failure rate is about one to two percent. Is your unit out of warranty?

We seem to get about 3 years out of them before having to replace. Do you have a sniffer or have you used soapy water to isolate the leak and ensure it's not at a connection?

My little red one went bad on the passenger's side after 1 year! I replaced it with a "high flow" red one from Ace Hardware and no more problems..good luck.

I've had regulator problems also. Contacted Marshall Gas Controls, the company that makes the propane controls. The tech said they have had many many problems with the red regulator located on the right side of our rigs. The exact model number for that regulator is GR 618 with a PSI rating of 19. There are two main problems, one is that it leaks and the other is that 19 PSI is not enough to make the propane flow in cold weather. He suggested changing it, even if it does not yet leak, with a Marshall model number C6121 with a PSI of 30.

My 06 never had the red one. the first time I had trouble with the auto reg and my dealer said I needed one. I just put a new auto reg on and it worked fine. those reg dont last all that long I think they get something in the diofram and they quit. I changed another one this year. I never needed a red one I just turn on the gas real slow after changing bottles. JMHO

We did have problems with the one regulator not working and the "pigtail" was also leaking. after that we smelled propane again and the other regulator was bad--it was changed by Keystone at the Rally--so they do go bad--it only took about 3 and 5 months for ours to go bad
