Well, I did it. I tried to get our Montana through an alley in Oak Park, IL that was a little too narrow in the entry way. Scraped the curb side of the rig pretty bad. Need a new door and frame, hot water heater, safety handle, storage door, and lots of fiberglass work. Also needed new decals.
Mora: Make sure the space you're going into is big enough to get through.
National Interstate handled the claim which amounted to about $3500. My diminishing deductible was down to $277 so it didn't cost too much out of pocket. However, premiums will increase about $160/year for next three years.
I called Team Montana in Customer Service and talked to Art to find out who they would recommend to fix the rig. Without hesitation, Art said, "Call D&T RV Repair in Goshen, IN." I did and they set me up with an appointment for the first day I could get to Goshen. What a magnificent job Tom and his crew at D&T did on our rig. It only took them a day and a half and we were allowed to stay in our rig at night. If you ever need repairs (and I hope you don't) we, Marge and I, heartily recommend D&T RV Repair in Goshen, IN.
