2 reasons to disconnect
1....In an emergency the truck can be driven immediately.
2.... pulling into a regular gas station instead of a truck stop you will find diesel fuel much cheaper
2 1/2....taking wife with you will earn you extra points

Depends on what type of “overnight”.
1. If I overnight at a Flying J or a WalMart, I do not disconnect. I do lower the landing gear for a bit of stability and to take weight off of the hitch. I also unplug the umbilical. The only slide I might open is the bedroom. If I’m overnighting at a Flying J or WalMart, it’s just to sleep. Don’t need to go anywhere.
2. If I overnight at a campground, I disconnect, hook up shore power, level and open the slides. I never get to a campground at night. It’s usually around dinner time. Need the truck to go eat, find fuel and available in case of emergency.

Between the arthritis and the bad back and knees, we only travel around 6 hours a day or 250-300mi. That gives us plenty of time to unhook and level up at night. That gives us the option of fueling up at cheaper stops away from the Interstate and going for food or an ice cream or even a little site seeing. Smell the roses occasionally. There has been a time or two where we arrived later or wanted to leave early or at a Walmart or Cracker Barrel and the site was very level that I just lowered the landing gear and rear jack to stabilize to give support for the slides.

I like that 250-300 miles per day. Our recent trip we had a couple of 500+ days. We're still learning, but our next trip we're only doing around 350 per day. Stop, unhook, level just in time for cocktail hour.

Like they say, it's not just the destination but also the journey that makes the adventure.

I don’t unhook for an overnight stay. Don’t usually put the slides out, either, unless we’re in a campground.

When I was pulling a hitched trailer, I never unhooked on overnights in a camp ground. With the Montana I always unhook, don't really know why other than it is so much easier than that hitch a stabilizer was.
Hardly ever go anywhere when we unhook. Used to go get fuel but with the TSD card at truck stops the cost is the same as a local station and much easier.
Of course I never unhook on those rear nights we stay at a rest area, truck stop or a parking lot.
