TV reception hooked to cable

We had our 381TH in camping world about a year ago for a multitude of things. One of them was scrambled TV reception when connected to cable. Yes the power antenna is off. Since we haven't camped anywhere with cable after they claimed to have fixed it, we discovered this week that the problem still exists. We are now full timing in an RV park while our house gets built so we can't bring the rig back to them. Real rotten deal....

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot the coax system..

See what happens when you run a cable directly from the outside to the tv thru a window bypassing the coach wiring.

If I'm looking at the right floor plan for yours, yours has a front living room. Mine does too. Don't know about yours, but in the cabinet to the right of the fireplace (bottom cabinet), is the TV power box (button) and 12 volt cigarette lighter plug. On mine, there is a jumper between two coax plugs. When I run cable, I have to unplug one end of that jumper and the green light (button) has to be turned off. Also, the outside coax wire needs to be connected to TV in, and not the satellite input connection (mine is in my wet bay outside).

Anyway, if you have that coax jumper, you might try unplugging it and see what happens.

I do agree with others though, plug the outside wire directly into the television and see if the connection is good at all. It's possible the campground cable just sucks!

DutchmenSport gives some great suggestions but be sure to do the last one listed first.

I have found that if I hook the cable to the satellite reception in the bay then hook tv directly to the satellite reception behind the tv it's clear. That does stop the ability to run more than one tv but the big tv is clear.
