New unit was ordered with "Factory installed Onan Marquis Gold 5500LP". We got dealer cost on generator and prep for free. I had no desire to go out in the cold or rain to start auxiliary gensets. I like to just push the button from inside the unit. :-)

Just picked up a second Yamaha EF2000 to run parallel. The single just wasn't able to run the micro and charger at the same time. Sometimes it's easier to throw money at a problem. Trying to explain "you need to turn off the charger if you want to..." went over like a lead ballon.

I've had an EF3000 before, It's a great generator just to heavy to lug in and out plus I want the generator w/ us all the time since we full-time. The 2000's will fit in the generator compartment without the broken back from lifting a bigger one out.

Yes David. That's why we have the two yamaha 2000i. I can't lift 150 plus anymore. Had hernia surgery and lifting that much is just not worth it.. The two 2000's are not only lighter, but they also put out more wattage than the 3000's!! Only advantage the honda 2000's have is a larger engine. Love the yamahas!
