We too have the wood front cover under the fridge and it is carpeted inside, some wires in the back but no big deal.Will have ro plug up the screw holes but that is alo no big deal..Think we have the hardware laying about to get some extra space..

We just cut the screws off so they didn't stick thru the panel and put them back in. Looks like it did b4 we started. Dan

Judy, I'm going to be late with this but it may help others. Most of the finish that is used in the Montana is your wood with laquer sprayed over it. It doesn't turn yellow like your verathanes and urathanes. If you want to see what the wood will look like against what you have, rub some mineral spirits on the wood and put it up against the other. It will dry off and then you can finish it. I usally use 3 coats of laquer and steel wool between coats. Even after the last one. Then I take an old towel and buff the piece, it gets the sheen your after. Hope this helps.

Thanks, JP. I'm sure you're way is the better way, especially after seeing all the great work you did in your trailer. Ours have the poly-stain mix on them and they look really good. So hopefully they will hold up.
