Change to 3811ms ?

We were looking at the 3811ms at the Hershey RV Show. One of the salesmen said it was the last year with the front window and couch. They are replacing it with a closet. Has anyone heard this and if so do you know why.

The 2020 modern maple edition brochure shows the 3810/3811 and the 3812/3813...basically same floor plans except the 3812/3813 has the closet up front, no windshield. I don’t know if the 3810/11 will be discontinued or not.

The 2020 3810/3811MS brochure does show windows in front. Window lounge with storage underneath. The 3740/3741FK also has a front window with dining area.

Personal preference, the front window should go but leave the floorplan as is. That lounge space has huge potential as crafting space or other owner specific uses including storage. Since Keystone did not go overboard on sprucing it up like their competition did with cabinets and other things it is psychologically easier to remodel than for the HR 3X or Jayco Pinnacle equivalent which they spent a tidy sum to impress buyers with. But that front glass is a condensation problem from all the reports I have read form any mfr doing it. Be gone with it.

The brochures were handed out at the MOC national rally. I couldn’t figure out how to attach a picture of it in the few minutes that I had to post. (I posted under hubby’s sign in.) sorry, but I can’t figure out how to attach a photo.

Well I can't get high enough resolution to see in detail about the closet but the drawing shows windows in the closet if in fact that is what it is. Looks like Keystone needs to clarify some things about this floorplan. Now I want to see one in the flesh before commiting to the 3811.

It doesn’t have the windshield. See if this is a better pic.

Well I can actually read the word closet. I'd still want to rip it out or part of it at least to install a desk/workspace. The question is what are those windows doing on the sides of the closet? seems like Keystone whipped up a proposal quickly so it could be included in the offered brochure. Still, if the closet could easily be removed or adapted... it has potential too.

I don't think it's going away, just another option for buyers that may or may not want the front windshield. I'd be surprised if they got rid of models totally with that front windshield, I see those models all over. Now, if they can combine the 3700LK and the 3810 floorplans, I'm all over it, since I have the 3700LK already, would love the MS front layout with the 3700LK living and kitchen area.

got some video of the 3812/13 changes. 3810/11 Master suite lounge seat is gone... replaced with closet. Windshield gone too. everything else is carry over from 3810/11. Exactly what we were looking for... we pulled the trigger.

I'd post it if I knew how.
