Just joined and looking!

My name is Don and I am considering purchasing the Montana 3611RL. Wanted to get some feedback from this group. Your reputation as a forum is fantastic, so I know I will get some great feed back. I have recently purchased a RAM 3500 SRW Laramie Longhorn. It is black with brown leather interior and I need a gorgeous fiver to go with this wonderful puller. Please give me feedback as to what price I should be paying, options, etc. I am especially concerned about the standard E rated tires that come with the unit, should I request G rated? thanks in advance for your much appreciated help. I plan to weekend in this for the next 3-4 years and then retire as a snowbird. I live in the southern Indiana area.

If this model grosses out near 16k weight, then yes for the g load rated wheels/tires. The thing that you don't know about the chinese load range tires iss what speed the delivery hauler traveled to get it to the dealer...over 65 and the damage is done to the tires. I'll let those on the forum who know more about the new models answer about options and prices. I consider 6 point leveling one of the most desirable options. John

Welcome Don as owners of a 3610(non residential fridge version) we absolutely love the floor plan. When the plan first came out we loved the open feeling and the huge amount of Beauflor flooring rather than carpet and of course the extra large shower.

Our unit is an early 2015 3610 so we have a pantry/washer/dryer closet in the kitchen rather than the extra large china/hutch. Now the washer/dryer prep is in the front closet and not so convenient but one can't resist change.

We would definitely suggest G614's to be must. We ordered dual pane windows, 6 point level up, home theatre seating, central vac, fireplace and extra fantastic fan as well.

Good luck with your purchase.

Great advice from all. Thank you very much. DarMar, did you get the dealer to put the G614's on or did you do that after delivery? Tires seem to be the biggest complaint from most forum users. So, obviously, I am very concerned about getting the right tire.
Thanks again,
Don

Don:

We had just put 614s on our previous unit 1.5 years before we bought our 2015. Dealer wouldn't give us any extra on trade with the 614s on so we got the dealer to transfer them over to the new unit which they were more than willing to do to close the sale.

Yep, tires are #1 and we never pull off the dealer lot without them, ever.

Welcome to the forum! I wouldn't take a new rig off the lot without 614's.

X2 what DQDick said about the Goodyear G614's. Tire issues is one problem we have never experienced and I suspect never will simply because of following the advise here early in the game.

Welcome to the forum.
