Mice calling cards

We just picked up the Monty 3000RK from storage (4 months) and found evidence of mice in the camper, ugh! Any ideas on how they got in the coach? Solutions? We are careful not to leave any food that could be accessed. Thanks

The belly of our 07 looks like SWISS CHEESE (pardon the pun) with all of the available holes. There are again as many between the coach and the belly for plumbing. On our 2003 I was able to fill all the holes with steel wool. Not on this one, can't afford all the steel wool it would take, nor could I carry the weight .

We are using sonic machines, one on the counter in the kitchen and one in the basement. We are plugged in at storage so we can do this. When camping, we leave the basement one on.

Knock on wood, so far so good.

Try Bounce fabric sheets...they hate the smell. I'm not sure I would love a steady smell of it all the time either, but it beats unwelcome company.

We have used the Bounce sheets successfully for years too. Don't forget to put them in cupboards and the basement, too.

Bounce, steel wool, spray in foam, moth balls (outside only), bug spray on anything that touches the ground (wheels, landing gear) and anything else I can think of.

I had 2 so far..they were carried out on "sticky boards"

by the way 1 of them had the decency to jump into the trashbasket b4 dieing

On my Mountaineer all the holes coming though the bottom covering have been foamed. But I see daylight at the bottom of the curbside slide when it is in, looking at the floor between the main wall and the outside of the slide. This is where the slide slides over the edge of the floor. With the slides out I don’t guess there is away for mice to get in but I don’t know that.

If your units have this opening what do you do about it?

This winter in camp, the mice built a home in a draw that they did last year.
This year it had Bounce sheet and moth balls in the draw and they still sent the winter in a new home they had buit with toliet paper.
In our Monty I fill all the large holes with expandable foam.
The one by the hot water heater and the two holes under the stairs.
Forge the bounce, or steel wool,go for the expandable foam and a trap.

Dusty - we set it in the laundry basket, which puts it at about the right height as recommended.
