Tire replacement update on the 2021 Montana 3762BP.

I have post about tire replacement. I replaced the Saliuns on the 2021 Montana 3762BP. I put Carlisle on however, I couldn't get a G rated tire, they was F rated, made in China. However, the next day I went back were I buy all my tires, he was able to find, Goodyear ST235/85R16 G-614's. I have used these tires on most all 5th wheels we have owned. I'm just more comfortable with the Goodyears, and yes they are made in America. They are very expensive today, very difficult to find. Goodyear knows they are difficult to locate.

Let me say this, I not telling anyone to not use the Saliuns, nor the Carlisle's, I'm not pushing Goodyear, I actually run Michelin's on my 2022 GMC Denali, 3500hd DRW's.

We travel all over the lower 48, I have watch people roll in stay for week or few days, and never see them check the tires before departing. Tire pressure is the key also. We never travel without an Air compressor.

I keep hearing people talk about China making the Saliuns, I did't realize China had so much rubber. I know for a fact Vietnam has plenty of Rubber plantation, I didn't like being inside those Rubber Plantations, those who served in Vietnam knows why. Good Luck with YOUR choices.

Happy Trails.

Many may be like us and have a Good TPMS and check all tire pressures and temperatures before leaving a CG. If you are manually checking the pressure, each time you're losing a little air, sometimes even more if the guage doesn't seat good while trying to get a reading. This would be even more true when trying to check the pressure on the inside duals.

We have the TPMS now, been running Pressure Pro monitor since back in 2005. Had one tire issue, back in 2007, had a wheel crack on the Cambridge, I replace the wheels, and Keystone re-payed the cost for all 4 wheels, and payed to have the wheels sent back to Keystone.

I was surprise at how many people don't have TPMS.

Happy trails.

If I could have gotten a G rated Carlisle tire, I would have kept the Carlisle brand. The 2021 Montana 3762bp, are heavy 5th wheels. You just can not depend on anything less than 14 ply tires. My opinion.

Very difficult to find tires which are made in America.

Happy trails.

Unfortunately, that's true of many things, not just tires.

Yep, we waited over two months on a B&W 5th wheel hitch, canceled the order, ordered a Trailer Saver Air ride hitch, arrived in 3 days? Took 3 months to get a Truck, a 2021 GMC SLT 2500hd, decided to go back to a dually a 2022 GMC Denali 3500hd DRW's, waited over 3 months one showed up. Wish we could have stayed with 2500hd. However the 2021 Montana was going to be to heavy. Few Montana's weight as much has the 3762BP. It is everything until they stop paying people not to work, it will remain difficult to get many things. People are being gouged, on almost everything, I have owned dozens of Trucks and cars never ever paid MSRP, always paid invoice cost. I will remember this when things get back to normal.

Mark A-Do you know if those Carlisle tires were the CSL-16 G rated all steel tires?

If I could have gotten the CSL-16 G rated 14 ply tires I wouldn't have took them back and gotten the Goodyear G614's. The American people are being taken advantaged of. This has to stop!

Happy trails.

Which Michelins do you run on your Denali. Mine came with Wranglers which I hate. Had Defender LTX on my last truck and loved them.

Raining now, the Michelin's on the 2022 GMC Denali, is what it came with from the factory.

Happy trails.
