Acrylic will be cooler to sit under than vinyl and it will last longer. The awning on my diesel pusher was 8 years old when we sold it, were acrylic...cooler than the vinyl we have on the monty and they still looked fantastic. Monty is now two years old and the awning isn't going to make it anywhere near that long. IF it is windy or cooler where and when you use the rig, you might not mind the vinyl...but I wish monty had acrylic and at some point I will take this one off and replace it. Got to save a few social security checks first. John
