Boxed end tables

We have a 2020 3931FB, although I'm sure that several other floor plans are identical in this area. On each end of the sofa are built-in end tables that are actually boxes similar to the cabinets. Have any of you opened these to utilize as storage? I can not find any exposed mounting screws or figure out how they are installed. I know that a lot of the internal construction is done before the side walls are installed so this may not be practical without risking significant cosmetic damage.

Those things are tiny in my 2018 3921FB...maybe 6 wide x same length as the couch width...not much usable space. Maybe they made those bigger in the newer models ( but the couch would have to be smaller than our couch)

I had the same thought about those boxes. At least make a magazine space out of one of them. Exploring that is on my list now that I finally have factory defects beat down.

Yes, they are small but "hiding place" storage doesn't have to always be big. Pew Pew's and $$$ don't take up much space.

Ideally, a hinged lid.
