Replacing stock water pump

Has anyone replaced the stock water pump?
I'm looking for a water pump that would give me more pressure.
If so,what make and model did you buy?
Thanks, Jack

I don't think it's wise to go much over 55 or 60 psi, too much risk of serious leaks in your plumbing system. What you may want to look for is more volume instead of more pressure, but with the 1/2 inch plumbing in these rigs, even that will not improve much. Also, if you do any boondocking, you will just run out of water that much sooner.

I assume you are not using a water pressure regulator.

Like said, I wouldn't go over 60 psi ... the pump has it's own regulator, a pressure regulator on the city water inlet has no effect on your onboard pump. On many 12VDC pumps, there is an adjustment on the pump head for cutout pressure. You might try this sparingly to see if it helps your needs. http://www.dutchmen.com/media/6205/s...adjustment.pdf
If you meant "volume" there are alternate pumps available that have a higher GPM that are an easy replacement. Also, if you have a filter on the pump inlet ... clean it

I went with the Sureflo quite revolution pump (although quite is in the ear of the beholder). 3 gpm and 55psi. If your having problems in a particular area it could be the screens in your faucets. Some models have two. In the shower you just need to go with Oxygenics and you'll be happy.
