Garmin 785 problem

New garmin works well, except when I apply brakes on truck, the back camera loses signal. If I shut off running lights signal comes back on until I apply brakes again

I had a similar issue on mine loosing the camera. Garmin actually helped with the resolution. It was a voltage drop. Don't remember the spec's but the garmin products require close to the full 12vdc. Find your camera hook-up, and with a vohm meter measure the voltage with just the running lights on. Then have someone apply the brakes. If below 12vdc you may need to find another 12volt source for your camera.
