Onboard tank water problem

2014 Mon. High Country. Traveling yesterday, last night electric hook-up only, no water hook-up available. Water pump ran but only spitting water and air from faucets. Tank at least 1/2 full, but the night before last it may have been very low. Got home today and am going to try to fix it tomorrow. Any suggestions on bleeding air from lines? and/or is there any type of check-valve that could be the problem? THANKS

Is it possible you left the valve in the "fill tank" position in the convenience center?

If all your valves are in the correct positions, maybe you have a plugged screen ahead of the pump. Years ago, our SOB fifth wheel pump had stopped working, but was still running. Changed out the pump, but transferred the screen device to the new pump, without even thinking it was plugged. The new pump did exactly the same thing. I finally decided maybe the screen was the problem, and sure enough, completely plugged. Cleaned it, and worked perfect.
