Mine had to be running and raining. The tech explained that the restricted return ducts would cause the return air fan to create a vacuum in the Styrofoam cover over the condenser and fan. It made since considering there was water sprayed all over the Styrofoam, fan, and in the return air area. He feels some of the water is being sucked in from the seal and the room does have a slight bow due to the weight of the AC unit. Still waiting to hear from Keystone though...

Our 3711FL experienced rainwater ingress thru the air conditioner, and it ran thru the two air returns. The dealer tech said he'd seen

I have my Montana back. Keystone had the dealer put PVC pipes in air returns to increase return airflow, which should stop the return fan from picking up water before it can drain through the drain holes on the bottom of the AC unit. Keystone did not feel the slight bow of the roof due to the weight of the AC unit was an issue. The dealer, Johnny's RV in Mobile, AL (very helpful and friendly)thought this was a temporary fix and felt the roof needed to be supported better near the AC unit. I have not had a chance to test it yet, so I hope it is good. I am satisfied for now with the Keystone fix. I will make sure I test it several times before the warranty is up. Thanks for all of the helpful input.

Update: I was still getting water in the return vent. The PVC pipes the dealer put in to keep the return vents from collapsing were only 1/2 inch. I replaced with 1.25" and the A/C unit performed much better, but still water. I followed the sealing instructions listed earlier in the thread, still some water. I followed the Dometic service bulletin that had me drill more holes for draining, still some water. I taped the front of the shroud seam as some had mentioned and NO WATER!! I personally think the terrible design of the shroud is the main culprit. If designed properly, the other fixes would probably not be needed. My suggestion to anyone with this problem is, since you have to get on the room, you might as well do all of the above since you are up there... .

Gosland. you should make certain that they seal the holes as John described. There is also a current thread with a Heartland service bulletin describing this fix and also drilling additional drain holes. I gave up on CW ever completing this and did it myself.
