BR window latch blowing out window

Our Bedroom window keeps blowing open so far it pulls the latch handle thru the opening and then is flopping around outside. I tried wrapping rubber bands around it but it didn't work.
Any other solutions????
Thanks.

If a rubber band isn't quite big enough, try a scrunchy that women use on their pony tails. I don't have your kind of window, but I've used them for other things where a rubber band wasn't quite enough.

We solved that problemm by drilling a small hole thru the opening in the window and the handle and inserting a small pin (I bent a paper clip). We also drilled a second hole approx half way on the handle so we can have it open only half way to stop rain from coming in.
Did that to our Monty and now both of our SOBs.

Use half of an old fashioned clothespin or a wooden wedge of about the same shape.

We had that problem with SOB and the entire window blew out on highway somewhere in KS! We always bungeed the handle after that. In the new Monty the latch that holds handle broke so DH fixed by drilling small hole thru red handle into the latch and fastened with 3/16 bolt. Hope we don't need that escape in an emergency!
