Red Skelton

Ron Helmick asked me to put this on since he didn't have any luck on getting in on for some reason! Enjoy!

I miss entertainers with the quality of Red Skelton.
There aren't many (if any) entertainers or anyone in the
movie industry worth beans any more. I would love to
see them change back to morals and values in what they
produce!!

Red Skelton--from his television show in 1969 WOW ! Just think, he said this on his television show in 1969 and
really had no clue it would ever come about. SAD, isn't it?
What a wonderful and worthwhile clip to watch and share with
all your friends and acquaintances!

How did things get so out of hand? Life was a lot simpler then and respect was something we lived by, unlike today.

Liberals, Phil, too many liberals. Also, conservatives, too many conservatives too. It's when the Freedoms granted by the Constitution have been taken way out of context and the true meanings set aside. How can we have freedom of speech and slander at the same time? How can we have freedom of the press and still maintain our privacy? I miss Red Skelton and others like him that knew how to use freedom of speech without having to shock anybody. If life were still simple, I'd be towing a popup.

By a society that has given up on those freedoms we so enjoy.

It's the people who make a country, not the country that makes the people.

It all started in the 60's with the Progressive Movement. And it has been going downhill ever since.

Mr. Skelton lived near the town we lived in in So. Calif. (This was in the early 80's). My daughter worked at one of the local banks and he was a customer. She told us what a wonderful guy he was and how everyone in the bank loved him. She was "Ramona" in the local pageant and he congratulated her personally. Every night after the news we ask "Where's Johnny?". You watch the old "roasts" and are in wonderment at the great comedy without f words.

Happy trails.........................

I've heard this before. I can listen to it over and over and never get tired of it. Maybe every member of government, both federal and state should be made to listen to it until it sinks in.

Thanks Ron.
I remember that show and when we were watching it is was both my parents and my sister, the whole family together. We laughed saying that removing the Pledge from schools would never happen, we were sooooo wrong. Like Art said above too many Liberals and too many conservetives that don't care about the people nor this great country.

Thanks for posting Ron
