SurgeGuard placement

I plan on ordering two Honda gens and the parallel kit Thursday. Question. Do I remember that it is okay to go, gen to surge protector to 5er? My surge protector is hard-wired in and I want to make sure that this will work. Thanks.

Mike,
My Surge Protection system is hardwired on the rig side of the Iota Smartswitch. Shore power and generator both pass through the Smartswitch and then in turn the surge guard monitoring system. My Autoformer is set up to be disconnected on the rear shore input in case I want to use the generator on the rear. The Autoformer is bypassed on the new front receptacle which I installed primarily for generator usage while in transit or hooked up.

Mike,

My surge protector (Surge Guard brand) is hardwired and I had no problem running my Honda gens in parallel mode during the two weeks we stayed in Quartsite in January.
