Sue blew a fuse; accidentally, of course, when she was lowering the landing gear legs by pushing the remote button before the motor stopped, hey, I have done it also. She calls it yelling at her, when I just tell her she blew the fuse, I changed it in a few seconds, but she said from now on, I raise and lower the legs......
Guys, you know....
SO, I went out and bought a 30 amp breaker that fits into the 30 amp fuse holder, slick! Now she has agreed to raise and lower the legs.
Cool Beans....
I show a package of light duty fuses just to demonstrate the size of the fuses outer dimensions, but they are 30 amp ones in the gear power supply. The automatic reset breaker is under $3.00.

I think it's a good one, any parts store will have a 30amp automatic reset circuit breaker that will fit a fuse holder.
You can buy the 2 stud type, but why not just insert the blade type circuit breaker???

Nice Mod - I've actually never had the fuse blow on either rig yet. Guess I might just pick up a breaker and throw it in the glovebox for when I do.

Ozz-- Where did you get the breaker at? I know I've seen them somewhere but the mind just can't remember where! Great mod! I think I'll pick one up also and keep it in the repair box just in case I ever do start blowing the fuses! LOL

Brad, I can't help but think that certain models and years are more sensitive to this problem, my motor is always 'on the edge' of blowing the fuse. I bet I have replaced 10 of them. A lower geared unit, (Probably the 40 amp one) would be less prone to the condition, as the rpm's would subside quickly, instead of free-wheeling as mine does.
Auto Zone Rondo, but I bet any auto parts store would have them.
I thought Crestview (RV park and RV dealership) here in Buda Tx. would have them, but they only had 20 amp ones.
Don't forget to stock the cap screws and castle nuts for the shaft connecting the two landing legs.....
I used a cut-off Sheetrock screw to help one of our members in Branson until they could go to the store, wrapped electrical tape on the end so it would stay.

Great idea, Ozz. I will be looking to pick a breaker up next time we go to town. Yes, loosening the stabilizer braces do help keep from blowing fuses.

My 04 uses a glass fuse. You can get lots more sizes in those.

Yelling, to us womenfolk, is not just an issue of volume, but of tone and includes not what you say, but HOW you say it...in otherwords you are in a no win situation. Plus we get a bit miffed when you state the obvious.

I forgot the "projection" part of the explanation...I do the same thing...Doug doesn't even say anything and I wind up telling him not to yell at me. Mainly because I'm already mad at myself for doing xyz. Nice thing is that you are obviously a good man who realizes what a prize he has in his bride and are willing to put in writing! Now all the ladies are going "awwwww". (There are DEFINITE brownie points when we go "awwww"! )

That was us--Paul and Jan. you were a real life saver that day--we have had no problems since then--the new bolt is working fine

Ozz on my panel in my 3000RK i have breakers as i have had to flip dif ones at dif times , not fuses , are there fuses in line for the front jacks etc john
