No charge deep cycles

This may be a "dead horse" issue, but...............
If my 12v batteries are not recharging when plugged into 110, is it a bad converter if the fuses are all OK?

Batteries were OK and recharge OK when plugged into TV.

I am not certain that all converters are set up to recharge the battery. If yours used to charge the batteries, but is not now, is the converter putting out anything at all? IF you disconnect the battery will the converter operate 12v lights in the trailer? Sounds like something may be wrong with the converter. Good luck.

Have you checked the water level in your batteries? We were told that when plugged in and the batteries are charging you must check and top off the water level ever two weeks or so.

I believe it is important to acquire a multi-tester and learn how to use it. Then you can test the converter to see if it is out putting current. Electrical issues are no-see-ums unless there is an obvious loose wire. So my protocol is to try to isolate the problem to help me identify it.

Water is a key issue for batteries. We have to keep those plates covered to extend battery life. This includes the ones on the TV.

From your description, it sounds as if your converter may have stopped working properly. The last repairman I talked to about converters said that these new ones can't be repaired; they must be replaced.

When you get that multi-tester Stiles was talking about, put it on the converter leads to see if the converter is charging the batteries. Harbor Freight has them (digital) cheaper than even Wal Mart.

Problem truned out to be a loose ground wire running from the converter to the distribution panel. Charging like a bandit now.
