New Tow Vehicle Hitch Question - Thanks

Well we traded the '06 recently on a 2015 Silverado 3500 SRW LTZ. It was the right deal at the right time albeit earlier that what we expected. We were looking at the spring but the trade-in value was excellent. I believe the general manager of the dealership bought it for his own. Everything went including the hitch so here is my question. What hitch do you have in your 2015 Chevrolet SRW? I know that it is about 3.5 inches higher that the old Silverado. I had the 16000 lb Reese slider in the '06 and it worked very well. Never used the slide feature.

Thanks to all that responded with information about the hitch. I will be purchasing a B & W but have not decided whether to go with the turnover ball with no rails or just stick to the rails. Not sure if a slider yet. I did discover that our local spring shop is a dealer so will not have to travel very far for installation. This will be a spring purchase along with a Transfer Flow 60 gallon replacement tank.

Again, if you have questions about anything, this is the forum to ask.

I have the DRW, but believe bed height is the same. I have the B&W Patriot, and it us much better than my old Valley hitch I had in my 2009 truck. Easy to use, tight with no clunking, and a breeze to hitch and unhitch.

But....I am towing about an 1 1/2" nose high. I cannot get 6+" of bed clearance and still keep the trailer level no matter how I adjust hitch or pin box. I was completely level with 7" of clearance with my 2009 2500. My dealer says this is no big deal. I checked and there is no inexpensive way to raise the rear of the trailer.

I have experienced no difficulty being slightly nose high. But the bed rail height on these new Chevys is something you have to accommodate.

Now that is a S W E E T look'n Heavy Chevy! Can't wait to see it up close.
A friend of mine has a B&W Companion hitch in his 2012 F-250 and loves it. It appeares to be very well made, nice BIG wrap around hook for the kingpin rather than the clam stype on the Reese. Here's some info:

By brother put the Curt Q20 in his new 3500HD SRW. He tows an SOB comparable in size to our Montana's. He replaced a Reese, when money allows, I think I'll look at the Q20 as well.

2011 GMC 3500 regular box. I had a Reese 16K slider for years, but I started to have
problems with the jaws, so Reese gave me a new head for the slider. I sold the Reese slider with the new head and bought a B & W 16K Patriot non slider and I love the B &W Patriot and don't miss a slider. I have the hitch set on the middle setting and the Monty rides level.

Although my TV is not a Chevy I have to vote for the B & W Patriot. Very well made and much quieter than the Reese slider I had. No need for slider on my short bed F-350 with the Montana's front cap design.

I have the same truck except the color and I use a Curt Q16 Slider (haven't needed the slider yet) and have it set at its lowest setting and my Montana rides level

I have a 2015 3500 Denali GMC and use a super glide. Great company to do business with and a great product . Slight noise when stopping or taking off, not a big deal once you know it is ok. Works great, its fully automatic slider. Good bed clearance and just 4, 3/4 " holes in the bed when hitch is removed.

I have the B&W Companion RVK3600 that uses the puck system that comes from the factory. The best hitch I ever had. ZERO clunking whether starting or stopping. EZ to hitch and unhitch. HIGHLY recommended.
Good luck no matter what hitch you decide to get.
Nice looking truck (for a Chevy)

I just purchased the same truck. I agree with the Patriot hitch. Hands down better than the Reese.
