2002 2880RL pin box

I am trying to find out which pin box modle I have on my monty. I have to figure which pin box I have so I can put on a capture plate for my superglide. The owner prior to me thinking he would make the trailer look better spray painted over any tags that might say. I have contacted keystone, but I have not heard back from them. Might anyone know what came stock with the trailer or where to look? Thanks. I am truely enjoying the sight. There is alot of great information on the trailer here.

thanks again,

Scott

Be extremely careful trying to determine which pin box you have. I went through the same process so I could put on a 5th Abn replacement. To make a long story short, Keystone has mislabeled my pin box, so the one actually on the Montana was not what was on the label that was stuck on the pin box.

Scott, I assume since you are waiting for a reply that maybe you emailed them? If you'd like to try calling directly, I think these customer service numbers are still correct. If not, they're on the www.keystone-montana.com website. Good luck.

And the answer is......(Drum roll please).....Lippert 1621!

Thank you everyone who helped out! Just incase someone uses this in the future there are two sizes and you have to measure the box. If its a 12 3/4 inch box it is a pullrite Part # 331704, if its a 13 1/4 inch box then its pullrite part # 331705.

They told me that too...said I had the 1621. After many calls to the dealer, Keystone, Lippert, and a few others, found out I actually have a 1116 pin box. Which is actually good, since it's rating is 3,500 lbs more than the 1621.

I agree, the e-mail there is lacking. From now on I will only call them on the phone. Thanks again everyone. I am sure I will be asking more questions like where is the best place to mount your safety brake cable?

Ours has the loop over the hitch pull handle. I shortened it by looping it and strapping the loops so in an emergency it will still pull out the loops but also keeps the cable from getting snagged during a turn and tripping the brakes.
