Pull Rite Super Glide question

Hello Everybody,

I recently purchased a very low mileage 2006 Dodge Cummins 3500 (dream trk.) 4x4 quad cab dual rear wheels lwb and am most likely going to put the Pull Rite Super Glide fifth wheel hitch in it even though its not required for a long bed.The hitch is coming out of my 2006 Dodge diesel 4x4 swb quad cab,all measurements are the same as the swb Dodge as far as the frame bracket mounting holes go and it will sit directly over the center of the rear axle as in the swb.Called the Pull Rite factory and they don't spec a Super Glide for a lwb as its not needed. Is anyone else using this hitch in a lwb ?.I just can't see laying it aside and buying a new hitch when this one isn't even 2 years old and will more than do the job.Any and all replies are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Philip

Philip, I do not have a long bed but I do have a SuperGlide and if the day ever comes where I do get a long bed you can bet the SuperGlide will go in it.
I will also be placing a larger "above the rail" tool box in the long bed on top of which I can carry a bicycle or two. Having the tool box and bikes up there will effectively turn that long bed into a short bed. At least that's my idea, I haven't totally scoped out the feasibility as yet but it should work. Either way I'll be keeping my SuperGlide.
