For our single day stops, we have been using Harvest Hosts. I just looked at that route and there are a number of hosts along that route. Safe travels.

It's off your route, don't know how much time you have, we have stayed at Drummer Boy Campground in Gettysburg. Lots to see here. You could spend a few days touring here. They have an app for a driving tour.
