Water Pump

I just purchased a 2019 Montana 3811MS and I have been going through all of my systems. I am a newbie. I tried the water pump for the first time and it is very loud and it makes the rig vibrate a little when it is on. It comes on for a relatively short time when you turn on the pump and then goes off. When I turn the water on it comes on and when I turn the water off it goes off. My question is, is the water pump usually very noisy? Because the pump cycles properly I don't think I have a water leak . It's just loud. Thoughts?

The first upgrade to consider would be install a silencing kit, which is two flexible hoses that connect the pump to the rig's plumbing instead of the PEX lines being directly attached to the pump which transmits the vibration and noise to the plumbing. Noise from the pump is different with the various brands and models, so eventually, you may upgrade the pump if and when it fails, but you probably will get used to it, kind of like living next to a railroad and getting used to the trains going by.

another thing you can do is add pipe insulation on your water pipes going up the wall.

BTW ours made a huge the first few times from banging in the walls. after a bit, but before I could do anything it quieted down on its own. So maybe you will be lucky like us and it will quiet down on its own.

Also, make sure your handle is turned back to city water instead of fill after filling your fresh water tank.

On our old rig be did all of the above and also changed the pump to a Sureflo and added rubber padding under the pump. It all made so little difference I haven't done anything with the new one.
