Lost a wet bolt coming out of mexico

I've broken springs while driving in mexico but I've never lost a bolt. It is interesting because just before I went into Mexico I had a damaged bolt that was replaced.

I have the heavy duty 1/2 shackles so I assume I have the 'heaviest' wet bolts out there.

I is just interesting that the bolt is gone. Because it is gone I have no idea if it just worked loose or broke apart.

Scary indeed, but one has to wonder why it failed???

My shackle mounts were not welded inline with the LRE 4000 center mount on my 3150RL. When I changed my shear springs, I noticed my shackles had a bunch of wear on the insides of each shackle bar the shape of the spring. The front and rear spring eye mounts had to be re-welded to the frame to be aligned to the shear spring mount (center mount). I never had a bolt break despite the misalignment.
