Vegas, baby!

I am QUITE sure at least one or two of you have been there. We are looking for a few nights stop as DW has never been there. We have sen the KOA (right on the strip) but at @70 a night it is a little steep, unless we hit it big...yeah, right. We have looked at several others that are cheaper, however not as convenient. One thing we talked about in regards to these spots further from the strip, is transportation. How easy would it be to get parking in the strip area for the dually? How costly? Please give us the pros and cons, and what places you might recommend.

Las Vegas RV Resort is inexpensive, a little weathered, not in a terrific part of town, well east of the strip but Ozz loved it. The Oasis RV Resort is expensive, convenient, can be a little noisy thanks to the proximity to McCarran but I liked it.

Circus Circus Las Vegas Hotel & Casino has a great RV park right on the strip.

I think that is the KOA washley1 was talking about.

Well, we looked at them all, and ended up going with the KOA at Circus Circus. We liked the ease of getting to other places on The Strip without having to move the truck, and besides, the guy on the phone pointed out a special rate of buy 3 nights and get the 4th one free! I told Carol she can spend the 25% savings in the casino of her choice! Fact is, the few times I have taken her to one of those establishments she always ends up doing much better than I do...she even loans me more money to throw away! Like anyone else, I'd sure like to win back enough to cover the fuel costs of this trip, but I know better.

I'll be back soon with questions on the Pacific northwest. We only have the first 6 week's itinerary planned. So much to do...
