2nd A/C unit

Has anyone installed an A/C in the bedroom on a 3500RL? Was it hard? Can it be ducted to the main system? Any info would be helpful, as I am thinking of installing one.
Thanks for your help.

I did not install an a/c in the 3500RL, but did in my 3400RL. Same bedroom overall, and should provide the same results. Last year during the month of July, the exterior temps exceeded 105 degrees. Having my 15,000 btu a/c in the living room and my 13,500 btu low profile a/c in the bedroom going, the inside of the coach was a chilly 68 degrees. This is my opinion, but I would not be without a 2nd a/c in any of the larger Montana's. Especially if you tend to be in the high double and low triple digits throughout the year.

We put one on our '05 3500RL last year. The most difficult part is getting the unit up on the roof. Luckly, at the time we were storing the Montana at Kay's office, and we got one of the guys in the shop to set the A/C on the roof with a fork lift.
Second most difficult thing is getting the roof vent loose from all the sealant and then getting the sealant cleaned off around the vent hole.
I don't think the second unit can be tied into the duct work. When running the BR unit, we set a small fan on the dresser to help move the cool air from the BR to the rest of the coach.
