Do you mean bed saver add on for hitch?

If so it is a great addition has already saved our truck bed a few times.

The bed saver add on is a ***** rating in my book.

If you are talking the Hensley Trailer Saver hitch, we are in the process of adding one to our truck. Haven't used it yet, but Bob should be able to tell you about it, when he signs on. That would be Firetrucker.

Mickey, all I've heard about it has been good, but most all of that is by people who have HDTs (heavy duty trucks, like Volvos, Peterbuilts, Kenworths, etc.). It definitely softens the connection between the TV and the 5er, reduces chucking, and is easier to hitch and unhitch because it's articulated (it's not the only one). The model for your vehicle, the TS3, is based on the one I'm installing, the TSLB. It's made of 3/8" plate and uses a commercial style hitch, the Holland Binkley. Those never come apart, but a bedsaver is probably still a good idea, because our memories are sometimes not as good as the hitch.

I see that the TS3 will fit standard rails, so it looks like it's a drop in for the common hitches.

A bit pricey, but you can get it for less if you can find it at a show. In my opinion, it's a solid hitch.

Mickey,
I use the trailer saver air hitch also. I like mine. It is positive locking and really softens the ride for the pin.
It is easy to hook up to the camper. The only thing I had trouble with is the slick disk had to be removed from the pin when I started using the TrailerSaver. The jaws would not lock with the extra thickness of the slick disk.

Merv, I noticed that Trailersaver was offering a 1/8" thick disk to help with that problem, and the other day when I went to their site, it had changed to a 1/16" thickness (plus the price went up). I bought a 2' x2' sheet of 1/16" UHMW (ultra-high moleculare weight) polyethylene from McMaster-Carr for $14.00 that arrived yesterday. Looks like it will be easy to cut, plus I'll have spares. I guess enough people had problems, even with the thinner disk, that it forced them to come up with a thinner solution.

I have had the Trailer Saver hitch in my F-250 for three years now. It was expensive (when compared to the standard hitches) but was one of the best investments I made. The ride of the 5th wheel is improved about 80% over that of my previous Draw-Tite & Reese hitches.

I've never had any trouble with the jaws closing using the standard teflon disk.

I bought the TRAILER SAVER and it is what they say. It made a BIG difference in the way the ride is. Like the ARROW it is IMO the best you can buy. I highly recommend the ARROW or the TRAILER SAVER.
