Dick, my wife and I have been volunteering for Sowers for abut 3 years. Great organization that does facility repairs, etc. at Christian camps and organizations.

We've been trying to connect with Sowers, a great organization, for some time but I don't have any fingerprints and they require a background check. Hope it works out some day.

Carol, I had my fingerprints taken twice at our local police station. The second time they didn't even bother sending them in. The first time they were sent to the FBI and the FBI said they couldn't identify them. My sister doesn't have any either. I asked her if she wanted to rob banks with me..... It's a genetic thing as well as the result of working with paper, etc. for decades. I guess it's like sandpaper.

Well Judy,
I think it is exciting to have a CIA spook among us. When we get together in the future, you will have to tell us of your adventures. No finger prints, Hmmmmm......

It is obviously not nearly as exciting as is your imagination, Stiles. But I do look forward to meeting you and Dianna some day.

We don't work with any particular charitable organizations. We just make ourselves available to small churches in need of any kind of help, including computers.

I don't do any of that type of work, however, I do prepare federal and state tax returns for clergy and religious workers, full or part-time for free. See www.ClergyTaxes.com for details. If any of you in your travels run across anybody that I can be of help to, have them contact me.

Dick, there is NOMADS,RVICS,MAPPS and many others that we have seen while traveling. Sorry I don't know what the accronyms stand for or if there is a website. More out there than we realized. We also have heard good things about Wycliffe, but have not talked to anybody associated with it. Good luck.

Nomads is one. James Dobson has a group. The Baptist Church Headquarters has a group. I've done researches on "Christian RV Volunteer" and come up with info. Wycliffe would be a great group to work with. Maybe we can find one that doesn't require fingerprints!
