We are in the decision making process. As we are newbies it is interesting to us. We will read all posts and start preliminary plans. Will post again when we make a decision. As we would be traveling from NC, All advice would be good. Larry

Not sure what you have read here about the gathering at "Q", but we do have water, electricity (generator) and sewer! The men will be along soon with info on boon-docking, I wanted to let you know that the women enjoy the cameraderie and share much - beading, cooking (happy hour & potluck) and other shared experiences.
We do not do without!

As the "Wagon Masters" we can assure you that you will not do without even though we will be boon-docking. Here is some info on the amenities you are concerned about :
There IS cell phone service, but the camping in the Plomosa Rd. area is "Dry Camping". Please do not let that discourage you from attending if you have never dry camped before. This is just another aspect of the RVing experience and there is plenty of expertise that can be tapped into from your fellow MOC Members and with all the great people, you will not even miss any of the amenities
There are no electric hookups: QUIET generators are required for power. (For the peace of all; please do not use the contractor type generators). If you need to borrow a quiet generator to charge your batteries while there, let us know and we’ll do our best to help.
There is no cable TV: Satellite reception is great because of the lack of trees and "over- the- air" TV can be received from Yuma and Phoenix.
There are no water hookups: Several MOC members have 40-gallon water bladders and 12-volt pumps, all available for you to use to acquire water. Cost of filling the bladder in Quartzsite is 5-cents per gallon ($2) for filtered water. We usually take turns filling them when going to town.
There are no sewage dumps: When you need sewer service, you will need to call the honey wagon service and they will come out to the area and take care of your rig on site. We have the telephone number available. Last year's rate was $20.00 per rig for the company the group used.
So as you can see although we are "roughing it" we still have all the comforts and conveniences of being in a park. Oh and did I mention that you just cannot beat the camaraderie and fun of being around the MOC Family If you have any questions or concerns let us know and I am sure someone will be able to provide the answer. Even if you have never dry camped before this is a great opportunity to give it a try. There will be plenty of folks there to make sure it will be a memorable experience and an outing that you will look forward to year to year.
r,
Jack

Thanks Robbie & Alice. We have some big shoes to fill and hope we can live up to the expectations from past gatherings. We wish you could be there with all of us.

Jack include us on the list. We spent so much time in Arizona waiting for our new "house" to arrive, almost forgot to sign up for the "Q". We survived last years and looking forward to returning back to Arizona again. This time we have even bigger tanks! lol
