Purchased a Tire Monitoring System

I had a horrible experience in the past with a 2007 Jazz 5th wheel I owned. 20 minutes into our drive, and going up the Cajon Pass, I had a rear passenger side tire de-laminate and blow. It whipped around at freeway speeds and tore up my fender assembly. I changed the tire and we continued on our way to Zion Park. Once home, and going through insurance, the damage came to $3,500.00.

We just got this new Montana, and I hope to never go through that experience again. After reading other members reviews, and knowing one of the members is a sales rep for TST, I went with the TST 507-RV-4-C monitoring system. It's the color monitor, 4 standard tire sensors, and the signal booster. I purchased it through etrailer.com.

It will be nice to have peace of mind while on the road. Next trip is in June

And get good G rated tires. Saluns seem to be the ones.

Good choice. I have read great reviews on the TST. I have the EEZ-RV which I bought before finding the other reviews. It works well, but the screen is not color and I had to purchase the signal booster separately. Works well though.

We have also used TST 507 for a number of years and we also have to use a booster.

We have been using that model for many years on both of our Montana's. We would not leave home without it. It has saved us from damage several times over the years. Remember that it can not warn of a blowout (sudden and catastrophic failure)

I look into TPMS systems every so often, now with your truck does it have the package to monitor the pressure for you? or did you get the complete kit? On my truck I can add sensors and I believe they would need to be in the 433mhz spectrum for the truck to read the sensors.

Im not sure who the sales person is for TST but I would be curious to know if I get the pressure caps could those work with my truck that has the technology to use it..?

Last2Die,
My truck is a 2014, so it does not have it built in. I would contact TechnoRV at https://www.technorv.com/tst-tire-pr...oring-systems/. They can give you all the info you need on the TST and systems they sell and they also do support.

I wasn't even aware the new trucks had that option. I have no idea if our system can monitor our trailer tires. I wonder if you'd have to put factory GM TPMS on the trailer tires in order for it to work? For about $325.00, I went with this complete system.

If you have the trailering option you have it. My understanding is as long as it’s 433mhz it would work but I don’t know for sure. Also some of the caps that monitor pressure only go up to 100psi.

How far from menifee are you ..?

I have to say the TST system was super easy to install and program. Love the color monitor. So far, two big thumbs up. Leaving tomorrow on the 15th for San Diego. The TST system I went with is the normal RV Cap Sensors and not the Flow-thru ones.
