Fords & Rams sit closer to level when unloaded than their GM counterparts. This why you see many Rams & Fords sagging when they are loaded vs the GM'S sitting level or in our case just barely touching the overloads & level. That being said Rams now have factory airbags and the new GM's do sag 3" or so but still end up level when loaded.

SAG? I've run 250 and 350s now a dually. 2600 - 3400 PW and the Fords went to level, not sagging. Never needed bags after I sold the last Dodge, Ram

The 10 speed is absolutely awesome in all regards, pulling or not...
Try to kick your speed down a little. My sweet spot is 63 mph. With my 9 speed 090 fuller roadranger (Manual) I get right at 11.5 mpg. I have gotten up to 13.5 mpg but that was 55 to 60 mph.

The new 10 speed GM transmission is designed and built by GM with a license to use the Alison logo. I would suspect there is a lot of collaberation between GM and Alison. Ford also designed and build their transmission in house as well.

Congrats... The only thing I don't like about the 3500 ram dually is the empty ride...

Drop the tire pressure to 60 when unloaded. Maybe less pressure with a dually, I don't know. It makes a big difference and tire wear is fine.

Just towed the Grapevine in California. Going up maintained 65 with no problem and going down the same thing. The 10 speed, with tow/haul and the exhaust brake work perfectly together. I never had to touch my brakes.

I drop the tire pressure when I'm unhoked - 70 psi front and 65 psi rear with load and 65 front and 58 rear unloaded. I also drop the pressure in the air springs (bags) also - 45 psi hooked up and 20 psi unhooked. Makes for a smooth ride. 2012 Dodge 3500 dually. 2010 Mountaineer 14K loaded.
