3280 Kitchen slide

I just noticed this on my kitchen slide. When you look under the trailer at the kitchen slide hydraulic push rod, there is about a three inch gap between the nylon stop nut and the double nuts jammed together. This lets the hydraulic push rod move about three inches before it starts to move the kitchen. Anyone else have a setup like that? I think it has been that way since I purchased the trailer. The double nuts are tight. The nylon stop nut is in the same spot on the rod on the dining room slide. The dining room slide is not like that.
I am about 150 miles from a dealer and it's not easy to just drop it by.
