Last Question before I take delivery tomorrow

How many of you have had bubbles, delamination or cracking in you coaches fiberglas? If so how did Keystone handle it and did they do so outside the warranty period.
Also have you had excessive yellowing, fading or other problems.
I am to pick my unit up tomorrow and thought of this last question for all today.
Thanks

RMccord,
I have a 2001 out of warranty. I just recently had a problem with our rubber roof, Keystone took care of this and several other problems, some I wasn't even aware of.
As far as cracks in the fiberglass there have been some problems out there. But as far as I know either the dealers or Keystone has stepped up to the plate.
I am not aware of any problems of the fiberglass bubbling or delaminating.
Good luck with your new rig, rest assured Keystone will help when needed, that is why it is almost impossible to convince a Montana owner to look at purchasing any other brand.

On our first Montana, a 2001 2880RL, we developed bubbles on the fibreglass (not high gloss) just above the shower. We were in warranty and Keystone picked up the entire tab without question.

We found out later the cause was the shower had been caulked along the bottom of the shower stall wall, the one along the outside wall. We found out that is intentionally not caulked and should not be. Supposedly it is supposed to allow moisture to drain or perhaps to allow air to dry any moisture that gets in that wall. I guess the heat from a hot shower wall up against a colder outside wall and frame can cause moisture in that location. I had noticed it not being caulked and showed our dealer, who then caulked it for us. I understand that caused the bubble problem. Keystone still fixed it at no charge.

RMccord,
We had the delamination on our previous 5er, not a Montana. I would not walk, I would run from any unit I suspected of having problems that could be related to delamination.
Congrats on the new 5er
